It all started during the first Fall of the Pandemic. Founder, Rowena Sahulee, missed seeing her friends and her city but she wanted to do it safely. She had an idea to charter a double decker bus. She asked her friends if they wanted to join. It was an instant yes. But it was when they drove back over the Manhattan bridge from Brooklyn and she saw the breadth of NYC again, she felt NYC in her soul.
She offered the double decker bus tour again during the holidays to see the festive holiday lights. Turns out she made money by accident. That’s when she knew she had something special. Not everyone has the knowledge and ability to manage all the relationships to curate a meaningful experience like that. She did. So, after 25 years working for government, nonprofit and private entities, she started Meaningful Experiences, LLC.
It’s the feeling she felt on that double decker bus that first that she wants to replicate with each Meaningful Experience.

About the Founder
Rowena Sahulee is a marketing executive with more than 20 years of experience in tourism and economic development. She has held leadership roles with Circle Line Statue of Liberty Ferry and Harbor Cruises, the Greater Houston Partnership, Choose NJ, and Empire State Development’s Division of Tourism, where she directed PR and licensing for the iconic I LOVE NY brand. She later served as Director of Marketing & Communications for the Long Island City Partnership.
Today, Rowena is the founder of Meaningful Experiences, LLC, curating cultural and VIP experiences across New York City, New York State and New Jersey for corporate and employee resource groups. She holds a BA from SUNY Buffalo and an MBA from Texas A&M University.

Rowena feels a real connection to every group and experience she curates. Being a woman of Asian-descent (Filipino/Chinese), married to an Indian-American, a proud mother of two sons, an adoption advocate and transracial adoptive mother, an LGBTQ ally, she is a champion for causes to amplify and uplift communities.
Fun Fact: She met her husband during the 2003 NYC Blackout on the rooftop of their apartment building.
